A low cost budget meter capable
of locating analogue and digital satellites. There are three LED's and one
signal level adjuster, the red LED indicates horizontal or vertical, the
green LED indicates if a 22khz tone is present (High band digital) and the
clear LED is the signal indicator.
It works by pointing the dish
away from the satellites and turning the adjuster until the clear LED
glows red and a noise is emitted (Starting point). When the dish nears the
satellite position the LED will turn green and emit a higher pitched
sound. The adjuster can then be turned for fine alignment to the dish.
It is powered up by the
receiver and a small lead is also provided for the connection between the
dish and meter. We have tried these out and they do the job they are
intended for, they are a low cost meter but very good value for the money.
The design / appearance may vary slightly as different batches are
produced (IE: Some have white dials, others have black dials) however,
they are all have the same specification as above and are genuine Maxview
Satfinders.
